Paramotoring (powered paragliding) is the easiest way to experience powered solo flight; here’s why:

• In less than a week, you can progress from simple ground handling techniques to flying confidently with your own paramotor.
• The required equipment is very economical in comparison with other forms of flying. Once you own the equipment there’s little more than the weather to keep you from flying.
• Paramotors can conveniently be transported with nothing more than a car. No surprise then that paramotoring is one of the fastest growing sports around today.
• Learning to fly a paramotor requires a lot less theory than other flying pursuits. Obviously, safety is paramount at all times, but paramotoring is statistically less hazardous than riding a motorbike.

You’ll require the right weather to fly, and you’ll need to be reasonably fit to guarantee take off – the slight downside to paramotoring is that you may need to run to help lift the wing into the air. So, other than a few more essentials like sturdy boots and a clear field, there is little stopping anyone in taking up the this revolutionary sport activity. Paramotoring really does open up the thrill and excitement of flying to all.

About the Fish and online store

Adam Fish “the flying fish” has been flying paramotors since the early introduction of the sport to Britain. Originally a keen skydiver he made the move to flying rather than simply falling after realising just how convenient paramotoring would be in comparison. The training sessions

The paramotor training provided through Flying Fish has been designed to cater for all types of novice.

• Those wishing to simply dip their toe in the water can book a single day of training, after which they can decide whether to proceed or just take away the experience of ground handling the paraglider wing (an achievement in itself).
• For those committed to learning to fly with a paramotor but unsure of the duration of time it may take can book the Unlimited* training session. For a one off fee, it really makes sense if you want to take things at a more relaxed pace during the tuition.
